Opinions on Vampire books/novels ?

i have never been a big fan of twilight (to say milaldly, i hate it) and im not a fan of romance really either, i do not however think that all vampire novels are bad. i am im currently in the middle of Bram Stokers Dracula and am thouraly enjoying it. whether or not a book with vampires is good depends on what the other elememnts are in the story, as vampires are only one part of it, how well it is written, if there are good characters, if there is a good plot and other things like that are very important and are really the desiding factor in wheather or not a book that has vampires is good.
