How should I wash a military surplus sleeping bag?

Wash it in cold water in a front loading launderette oversize machine. DO NOT agitate it could fray and/or lump. Use 1/2 the amount of soap for a full load.Tennis in the dryer is good but if possible dry flat outside across lawn chairs or on a hammock if you have this available.
