What do i do so that i can go to the university of central florida?

right now im a junior in high school in new york. ive been looking at colleges and im really interested in going to ucf. i have a friend who has lived in florida with her husband for about 7 years now. if i were to live with her for a while could i become a resident so i don't have to pay the out-of-state fees? if so, how long would i have to live with them? or are there any other options to save money?
