I agree with you. Ignorance, greed and the pursuit of power seem to be the driving forces behind our so-called civilization. We profess to be such superior beings yet we act as if we don't have the common sense of a rock. Humans are the most evolved animals on Earth but I'm afraid we have a very long way to go before we are worthy of the honor. I like to think some time in the future, if we don't destroy our shared home here in the universe first, we will finally come to realize that the old saying "together we stand, divided we fall" is a profound and beautiful truth.
