What would be a good starter bike?

Ok so to start with I am 6'1 and weigh 190. I am looking to get a dirtbike but I have never had one of my own. I can ride my brothers KTM 125 two stroke but am not sure about how I would be able to handle a bigger bike. Any suggestions? Also what would be best for a girl that is just starting she is 5'4
